Rochester: A City That Stands On Its Own

With a population of approximately 210,000 residents, Rochester is a city on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in the western portion of New York. Although it’s five hours from New York City, this Forbes-rated location stands on its own in terms of the culture it offers to its residents. The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Geva Theatre Center, and the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film are just a few of the institutions that boost the cultural festival in the area. Nightlife abounds in Rochester’s East End district, with many tipple options across Skylark Lounge, Murphy’s Law Irish Pub, Sinful Sweets.
